Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (RRP) is a rare condition caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), resulting in the formation of multiple wart-like growths (papillomas) on the vocal cords and other parts of the airway. These growths can cause recurrent hoarseness, breathing difficulty and, in severe cases, airway obstruction. As the condition tends to recur even after treatment, patients often require long-term follow-up and repeated interventions.
